We are a small group of graduated students from ages 18-24 who want to build trust relationships with God and others. We DO NOT draw a hard line with these ages, but they do act as a guide to help us focus on those who just graduate and are needing some support during these crucial years. If you are new and find yourself outside this age group it doesn't automatically mean you won't connect here. Please contact Marty if you are interested in finding out more.

INSIDEOUT624 KICKOFF On Friday, April 27th we are kicking off INSIDEOUT624. We are excited to see how God will work during this next stage of ministry in student ministry at Hillside. Please read the following and keep us in your prayers. INSIDEOUT624 – Origin
With the addition of the youth room last fall, we thought it was a good time to come up with a new name for our student ministry. We wanted it to include Middle School, Youth & Young Adults and give us a sense of identity and purpose. After a lot of fun brainstorming and prayer, we arrived at INSIDEOUT624 and officially adopted the Name in late December 2011.
The Big Idea Insideout624 focuses on young men and women that range from grade 6 to age 24. These are significant years for development and growth that go by quickly. We want to help students connect relationally and move towards spiritual growth during this important season of their lives by leading them through a process that includes specific teaching, experiences and learning objectives that will prepare them to live a fruitful life of service that God has called them to.
CONNECTED, GROWING AND SERVING!
Connect Everyone has a deep need to connect relationally, in fact, growth often isn’t sustained without being connected in a significant way to another like minded person who continues to remind, encourage and challenge you. We want to see every student personally connected to someone who can help them follow Jesus. This means they have a trust relationship where they can be open and honest about where they really are and they are open to receive truth from the person who is walking with them. In addition, we want to see young people connect to Jesus. To us, this is a matter of worship. If you don’t connect with Jesus, you will connect to someone or something else. We want young people to connect with Jesus and know the safety and security of belonging to him.
Grow We recognize that growth is a process and we’re all at different places in our walk with God. There are core truths that are relevant for all ages, and some truth that will connect with young people at different ages and stages of life. We have begun mapping out a teaching plan that will help young people grow in their faith and get involved in their community in meaningful ways. As a result of being apart of Insideout624 we hope to produce young men and women who show themselves to be Disciples of Jesus, resulting in the world knowing that God is real and what God is really like. Serve In order to see young people serving and involved in significant ways we want to help them discover their God given gifts and provide opportunities for them to get involved to make a difference.
Making 624 Work Insideout624 has three distinct groups within it (Middle School 68, Youth 912, Young Adults 1824) and we plan to keep and celebrate those distinctions. At the same time we want to have the students realize that they belong to something bigger than themselves and connect with each other with hope that transitions from one group to the next will be more successful. In order to do this we must somehow connect as a big group sometime throughout the year. There are many ways we can do this, many of them we are consider will have to be experimented with.
T-shirts We have designed T-shirts that are not specific to one group. The T-shirts could have said, "Insideout68, Insideout912 or Insideout1824”. But they say Insideout624 to show that regardless of where you are inside, you are between 6 to 24, you are in process and you belong. They are each $15. We understand not every family can afford one or two so we are accepting donations to cover the cost for the students who can't afford them.
Serving A perfect example of this is the Amazing Race that is currently being planned for the 912’s, by the 1824’s. In this way the YA are serving the Youth and will connect with them throughout the event. Other ideas of each group serving together or serving one another is a great way to have relational contact that promotes unity.
Giving Project It has been our desire for a while to find ways to be generous to those who are in need. We think it could be a great way to connect all 624’s if they were to have one project that they all committed and gave to. We will introduce this project and talk about it during our Justice series beginning April 15th.
INSIDEOUT624 nights These nights will happen on a Friday night. It remains to be seen how often we connect with all three groups. It will be held in the main auditorium and will include all 6-24. It will be a fun night of connection and learning. Students will see that that are a part of something bigger. We will play games, worship together, hear stories of God’s work in student’s lives, learn what it means to connect, grow and serve, and end connecting in small groups.
A WORK IN PROGRESS
Over the next year we hope to create and implement three systems to achieve the following
1. each young person connected/build trust relationship with someone older who helps them follow Jesus,
2. each young person growing in knowledge; discovering biblical teachings,
3. each young person finding a place to serve.
