Local Outreach

Jesus calls each of us to a high level of involvement in the lives of those around us, with the challenge He issues in Acts. 1:8. It goes beyond loving our neighbours to also witnessing in love and power to those in our region and in the world. Hillside supports several local outreach ministries within the Tri-Cities. You can find out more about them by going to their websites.

Hillside is strategically located to serve Coquitlam residents who depend upon this service and this is a fantastic way for Hillside to show God’s love to vulnerable families and individuals in our community.

Volunteer

Share Food Bank operates with the help of many Hillside volunteers on Wednesdays. We are involved with food distribution, welcoming, helping people with their bags, and handing out food to families in need.

Volunteer time commitment is on Wednesdays from 9:00am – 2:00pm

If you’re interested in these or other volunteer opportunities at the Food Bank, please contact Joy Mao, Food Bank Program Coordinator at joy.mao@sharesociety.ca

Schools

Hillside sponsors four schools with annual grants towards their programs and their outreach to vulnerable students and families. Let’s be praying for these schools and teachers as they provide frontline care for children and youth in our community.
