One of the best ways to stay connected to what is going on at Hillside Youth is to sign up for our email list! Along with updates and reminders around events and schedule, you’ll receive occasional emails from me including (1) Jesus-centred information on current youth trends and concerns, (2) help for parents of teens, (3) a summary of topics we are covering at youth, and (4) suggested discussion questions for families about what we’ve been going through.

Grades 6-12

Welcome to Hillside Youth!

Our ultimate goal is to know Jesus more. As we do that, we believe we’ll get to know each other – and love each other – way better.

We’re a group of imperfect people which means everyone fits in – even if you don’t feel like you fit in anywhere else. I think you’ll find that Hillside Youth is a place that you will be well-loved and really welcomed, just as you are.

If you’re a parent or a youth and you want to know more about anything, I’d love to talk with you; or maybe I’ll just meet you at a youth event.

Until then, sincerely,
Kevin

Friday Nights

We meet at Hillside Church from 7 - 9 pm every Friday night. A typical youth night involves great snacks, fun games, some time learning about life with God, and some intentional time in smaller groups based on age. This fall we're asking big questions from the book of Exodus.
Middle School

Sundays (11:00)

On Sundays, during the second service (11 AM) the Middle School students meet in the youth room. They will be dismissed during greeting time and we'll meet during the sermon. Expect some fun snacks, some games, a few laughs, and a discussion time. We are following along with the rest of the church through "The Practicing the Way." Each week we'll talk about that week's topic and how it relates to a middle school student. We'll be learning how to practice what Jesus did in our every day lives.
Highschool

Sundays (10:30)

Our Sunday sermons are pretty relevant to the lives of teens—but sometimes in a room full of adults it's hard to spot a friend. So, if you're in highschool, church starts at 10:30!

That's because every week we have brunch together for half an hour before the second service—and then we'll head back upstairs to reserved seating ... so the whole crew can sit together for church!

Generous Living

One of our favourite things to do is to make youth a fun place to be. To provide great snacks, fun games, a cool environment, even some helpful teaching.

But we also want to learn to be a group that lives generously. We have a bunch of opportunities lined up for youth to get involved in the life of our church and community. We'll talk about some of these on Friday! Youth are part of the church and we need their help!
