Welcome to Hillside Youth!

This is a pretty random group, and that makes it great. You wouldn’t have dreamed this up if you were planning it, but we think God has a hand in it. And that’s why we have a youth group. Our ultimate goal is to know Jesus more. As we do that, we believe we’ll get to know each other – and love each other – way better.

We’re a group of imperfect people which means everyone fits in – even if you don’t feel like you fit in anywhere else. I think you’ll find that Hillside Youth is a place that you will be well-loved and really welcomed, just as you are.

If you’re a parent or a youth and you want to know more about anything, I’d love to talk with you; or maybe I’ll just meet you at a youth event.

Until then, sincerely,

Kevin Hegeman

Pastor of Student Ministries & Small Groups

The Parenting Teens Course

Parenting teens is a growing experience – even at the best of times! After a year of COVID-19 we're inviting you to join with other parents of teens to learn, discuss, and encourage one another! We will be following a video series led by Nicky and Sila Lee of Alpha, and our youth pastor Kevin will host the time and bring in insights along the way about what it's like to be a teenager in the Tri-Cities today. We hope you'll join us!

Registration for the course (including the course workbook) is $20 per household, but if cost is an issue let us know and we'll sort something out.

Friday Nights Live

We meet in person, (physically distanced) at Hillside Church from 7 - 9 pm. These meetings will be characterized by spaced-out games and fun activities, sanitized pre-packaged food, friendship, teaching, worship through song and prayer, and group discussion. All are welcome!

Zoom Sundays

Sunday morning classes where we spend intentional time opening up the Bible and learning what it says; in the process helping students to learn the tools to do this themselves. We meet after church on Zoom from 11:30-12:30 (students can bring their lunch … or brunch along). This semester we’ll be following along with the church-wide series, “God Has a Name.”

(You will only be able to join the Zoom call if you have your name set; for safety, anonymous accounts will not be admitted.)
