Welcome to Hillside Youth!

Our ultimate goal is to know Jesus more. As we do that, we believe we’ll get to know each other – and love each other – way better.

We’re a group of imperfect people which means everyone fits in – even if you don’t feel like you fit in anywhere else. I think you’ll find that Hillside Youth is a place that you will be well-loved and really welcomed, just as you are.

One of the best ways to stay connected to what is going on at Hillside Youth is to sign up for our email list! Along with updates and reminders around events and schedule, you’ll receive occasional emails from me including (1) Jesus-centred information on current youth trends and concerns, (2) help for parents of teens, (3) a summary of topics we are covering at youth, and (4) suggested discussion questions for families about what we’ve been going through.

If you’re a parent or a youth and you want to know more about anything, I’d love to talk with you; or maybe I’ll just meet you at a youth event.

Until then, sincerely,
Kevin

Friday Nights

We meet at Hillside Church from 7 - 9 pm every Friday night. A typical youth night involves great snacks, fun games, some time learning about life with God, and some intentional time in smaller groups based on age. This fall we're looking at the letter to the Galatians. What is the gospel and why does it matter?

Sunday Mornings

On Sundays, during the second service (11 AM) the Middle School students meet in the youth room. They will be dismissed during greeting time and we'll meet during the sermon. Expect some fun snacks, some games, a few laughs, and a discussion time. We are following along with the rest of the church through the Gospel According to Matthew. Each week we'll talk about that week's passage and how it relates to a middle school student.
Growing Together

Parent Nights

We host Parent Nights about once per term. We’ve set these dates for September 26, November 7, February 20, and April 23. The goal of these are to help develop friendships with other parents of teens, and to chat about some bigger topics that might be on your mind. If you have something you’d really like for us to discuss, please let me know!
